THE 2011 Sulong Pasig Iwas Sa Droga Non-Master 2050 and below active chess tournament gets underway on April 10, starting 10 am at the Ever-Gotesco Ortigas Extension, Sta. Lucia in Pasig City.
Pasig Chess Club President Dennis San Juan said, the one-day event are backed up by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Mayor Bobby Eusebio and open to all untitled players with 2050 and below rapid rating applying seven {7} round Swiss-System format.
Cash prizes of P4,000, P2,000 and P1,000 will be awarded to the first three placers while the foruth to 10th placers will receive P500 each.
The other prizes are P500 each for the top performer in the kiddie, lady, senior and Pasig player.
