1st UST International Guitar Festival

Guitar freaks, geeks, scholars and sticks are in for a feast!

The UST Conservatory of Music, in cooperation with the Foundation for the Musical Filipino, presents the 1st UST International Guitar Festival.





Dubbed as "Guitarra 2010", the festival will cover a week of concerts, master classes and lectures for all the guitar enthusiasts of the country. The guitar happens to be the country's number one most popular musical instrument. Performances will also be staged and will feature guitarists both local and foreign acts. There will be two concert venues for the festivities namely The Philamlife and at the UST Conservatory of Music. The schedule below:

The Philamlife Concert:

• Agustin Castilla-Avila (Spain) and Angelito Agcaoili on August 24
• Ruey Yen (Taiwan) and Joseph Mirandilla on August 25
• Meng-Feng Su (Taiwan) and Manuel Cabrera on August 26, 
• UST Guitar Quartet and the Festival Guitar Orchestra August 27

Concerts from August 24-27 will be held at the Philamlife Auditorium on UN Avenue, Manila at 8pm, while all other activities from August 23-27 will be held at the UST Conservatory of Music.
