A reader sent us a comment and a link about America's Foundation for Chess (AFC) and in there we can find good stuffs for scholastic chess in the US.
Remember our post about 2 Giants on Chess Ed? Makes me wonder how many agencies in the US are involved in scholastic chess?
In the Philippines?
Zero!
But wait for 2 to 3 years from now as we have to see how Philippine Schools will incorporate chess in their curriculum.
Traditionalists in the field of Philippine Education has bored me to death and this is the main reason why I never applied in big schools that has 30 to 50 students in one class.
On the other hand, administrators of progressive schools tend to be more accepting and open to ideas introduced in the curriculum.
We will see by then.
