Campomanes in car accident!

Hi there! Chessbase news says:

"The long-time president (1982-1995) and current honorary president of FIDE, Florencio Campomanes, was badly injured in a car accident on his way to the airport after the FIDE Presidential Board meeting in Antalya, Turkey. After a 7½ hour operation Campomanes was said to be in stable condition."

It was a shocking news for me because lately, I've been wondering and finding out ways to reach him for an interview here at PCC. It was a simple chess news keyword search, came chessbase news and I clicked... there I saw in their headlines...

Details from chessbase says he had undergone a 7 1/2 hours operation and is now in a stable condition. He was said to be sitting at the backseat of the car, not wearing any seatbelt. It was said that Campo, the present Honorary FIDE president, was thrown out of the vehicle after "the car breaked sharply when an animal, probably a hare, jumped out of the bushes and onto the streets"

Doctors say he is out of danger now but still lay unconscious. On february 22, Campo is turning 80 and this, the doctors fear might cause complications due to advanced age.
