Philippine Basketball Team wins its first game in the Jones Cup 2011 against Asian powerhouse, Iran. After all the media hype given to the losing Philippine Football Team Azkals, basketball regains its lost ground to make news once again.
I know the Jones Cup 2011 is just another tune-up tournament for the Philippine basketball team but it is also an avenue where our players can test their skills against Asian teams which they would be playing against en route to the Olympics.

The William Jones Cup 2011 will have a single round robin scheme and a playoff round added to determine the winner of the tourney. All games will be played at Sinjhuang Stadium, New Taipei City and sanctioned by FIBA-Asia.
