The August 2011 Edition of the 1st Saturday Magnolia Rapid Chess Tournament was won by Jerad Docena with a score of 5.5 points and followed closely on second spot is Andrew Casiano with 5.5 points too, losing over Docena over tie breaks. On third spot is Pol Lauron who scored 5 points.
Top High School Student Award went to Gino Cabual, the Top College Student Award went to Michael Aguilar and the Top Lady Award went to Shania Mae Mendoza.
The 1st Saturday Magnolia Beverages Rapid Chess Tournament has been running in the last three years and has given chess players an avenue to hone their skills. Baranggay Don Bosco Chess Club is the organizing club behind it.
