"Non-Master 1950 Below NCFP Rapid Rating unfolds the 1ST SATURDAY MAGNOLIA CHESS TOURNAMENT on September 6, 2008 9:00am at 4th Floor Doña Soledad cor. Australia Sts, Better Living, Parañaque City. Sponsors of the activity is the Magnolia Health Tea Drinks and the Rotary Club of Muntinlupa Filinvest.
This event's 9th edition will give the prizes of P 3,000 for the champion, 2nd P 2,000 and 3rd 1,000, all of them will receive trophies. Category winners are the Top kiddie, lady, senior to receive trophies and gift items. Tournament format shall apply the seven round swiss system and the rate of play is twenty five minutes per player to finish the game.
The tournament is organized by Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club and will be supervised by the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters, Inc. (NAPCA) and supported by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP). Registration Standard fee is Php 250 and Kiddies is only Php 150.00. Meanwhile, All is ready for the battle of 1ST PARANAQUE CITY CHESS CLUB (PCCC) NON-MASTER TOURNAMENT on August 30 at 4th Floor of Perez Building, Dona Soledad cor Australia Sts., Better Living Subdivision, Paranaque City. Tournament is open only to participants which has an NCFP Rapid Rating of 1950 below.
Prizes are Champion P 4,000, 2nd Place P 2,500, 3rd Place P 1,500 with trophies. Top Categories of Senior, Kiddie and Unrated will receive P500 each.
Officiating committee are Arbiters Rolly Suarez and Anthony Sun of NAPCA.
