By the looks of it, the top three posts of the five available slots for the Philippine Team to Dresden Olympiad has been sealed with the names of IM John Paul Gomez, GM Wesley So and GM Bong Villamayor respectively. John Paul still on top place with 12.5 points, Wesley with 11.5 points and Bong with 11 points.
Fighting for the last 2 slots are grandmasters Jayson Gonzales, Mark Paragua and IM Chito Garma with 9.5 points apiece.
In the Women's category, WNM Catherine Perena overtook long-time tournament leader Daisy Rivera and now has seven points going into the final round later this afternoon. On second place are WNM Shercila Cua and untitled Daisy Rivera with 6.5 points.
Stuck with 6 points are Jan Jodylin Fronda of Colegio de San Juan de Letran and WNM Chardine Cheradee Camacho.
Tonight,we will know who will go to Dresden Germany to play!
