Hey there!
The whole week this week, I am enjoying the one of the privileges of a school teacher, school break. In our case, term break. Preparing for the last hooray which will end officially by Friday, February 29. I don't count in weekends for school breaks guys.
Anyways, Mr. John Sy sent me this link, http://nachess.blogspot.com. In there, the author discusses to us how a tournament COULD BE RUN and how not. Check it out and see for yourselves the enormous possibilities Philippine Chess Tournaments could improve on.
Here's something to tickle your fancy... Leonardo da Vinci, Mr. Renaissance man, is now being linked to a chess book drawn in the 15th century called De ludo scacchorum. Some of you may have known him as a kid by reading encyclopedias that deals with science and invention (which was how I've learned of him) or later in life because of Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code. You can also check this forum post about it here.
And lastly, it's nice to know Bay Area Rappers support Hiphop Chess Federation something Philippine Chess and the NCFP could benefit from.
Say, Musicians for Peace supports Chess!
