The Milo Checkmate special holiday clinic starts at 10:30am today, Dec. 23, at the lower 2F of St. Francis Square behind SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City and at 8:00am at Harrison Plaza-Jollibee in Vito Cruz, Manila.
Open to young kids who are five years old and above, the 4-day clinic consists of seven chess lectures and one final evaluation tournament. It will also serve as preparation in the selection of the members of 2007 Milo Checkmate team who will compete in US and Asia for international exposures.
Interested parties are advised to register at the venue site of their choice at least before the clinic starts. They are also advised to bring their own sets. For other details, call 8268560 and 0916-852-1069.
Meanwhile, an MCC 1900 below active chess tourney will also be held at 11at St. Francis Square from 11am-7pm.
