Analysis by Atty. CPA for NCFP Forum

I just want to share my analysis of chesskiko's endgame study for your comment: White (chesskiko) K at c3 & pawns at f4&g5 versus Black (Umali) K at e6 and pawns at b3,c4,b5&c7.

It is Black to move and black resigns!

Black should not have resigned because of the following analysis (which I did without an engine)

1...b4+

2.Kb2 (2.Kxb4?? allows 2...b2)

2...Kf5 (Now White's King must leave the 2nd rank)

3.Kb1 c3

4.Kc1 b2+

5.Kb1 c5

6.Kc2 c4

7.Kb1 Ke4

8.g6 (8.Kc2? allows 8...b3+ 9.Kb1 Kd3 10.g6 Kd2 11.g7 c2+ 12.Kxb2 c1=Q#)

8...Kd3

9.g7 Kd2

10.g8=Q c2+

11.Kxb2 (11.Ka2? b1=Q#)

11...c1=Q+

12.Ka2 b3#

Any comment? I'm sure my analysis isn't perfect.

P.S. Hi guys! I'm sharing Atty. CPA analysis which he posted for the NCFP Forum. Thanks for finding time to analyze this game. If you would like to have your analysis posted, please email me or post your comments.

  1. I think Black wins

    daming variations na panalo ang Black and kahit alang chess engine its an easy win for Black. Pawn rolls and Black wins!
