"As part of their preparation for their coming TRANSCO Sports Olympics,
Monching de Robles of TRANSCO invited the MERALCO Chess Club to a 1-day
7-board team match, Schevenigen Format at 15-15 time control with NM Efren
Bagamasbad as Arbiter, last August 23 at their Quezon City HQ. It was
actually the 7th of the series between these industry partners, with
MERALCO enjoying a 4.5-1.5 advantage. However, TRANSCO, who played with
2007 Shell Finalist Mark Dimaliwat, has fully prepared and delivered "at
full capacity" at their homecourt winning all 6 rounds with a 4-3 advantage
highlighted by an electrifying 6-1 win on Round 2; 10 year old Paulo
Bersamina, the 2008 Age Group Champion and La Salle Green Hills top grade
school player, prevented a system black-out for MERALCO."
Got in all the pictures sent but couldn't post them here for now... sorry!
