Hey there!
I received a link of a new Pinoy chess blog called SecretChess.com . Not much to be seen yet but there's a promise posted saying more to come!
Presently, I have 10 correspondence chess games running at Chess.com and out of ten, 7 of which are tournament games which started last February 25. Each player has 3 days to decide or make his move and I really feel this is good for someone like me who has a day job and lots of on the side jobs.
This online chess community called chess.com has provided me an avenue to have at least daily dose of my chess needs from tactics, quizzes, chats and other prescription for a chess addict. Hahahah! Check it out to see for yourself.
Some worth read articles that came in: Ian Roger's blogs from Linares , Quah Seng Sun's Head Start. A blog about Bob wrote something about Social Networking thru Chess. A reminder to all our readers about this sad story of a possible chess scam . Lastly, don't miss out on this article which discusses chess and culture.
Gotta go and continue my participation in the 1st Imus Sports Summit which was keynoted by none other than Philippine Sports Commission Chairman William "Butch" Ramirez. Status report was given by our Imus Chess Association founding chairman Mayor Manny Maliksi.
I'll post my Pulso ng Makabagong Cavitenyo report as soon as it's ready.
Till then!
