It's the time of the year when things heat up for the yearly Shell National Youth Active Chess Championships. As in the past 14 years, yes were on the 15th year, this province hopping country-wide series starts with the National Capital Region leg. The leg where we get to see most of the strong players of Metro Manila and neighboring provinces like Cavite, Bulacan and Pampanga.
Shell Pilipinas has played a major role in helping chess development in the country. In fact, it is one of the longest existing chess event in the land. Thanks to you Pilipinas Shell and all the people behind it.
