For your slide show, in the html there, you have to adjust the wide and height for it. The slide you have at the sidebar have to adjust the height by reducing it to half the initial height. the width should be ok.
why put the slide at the small place. if u are using the page element, you can just put it with the header where it would be bigger and clearer.
