The Juniors Chess Team of the University of Perpetual Help System - Las Pinas won High School Boy's Team and Individual championship of the Las Pinas Private Schools Athletic Association or LAPRISAA.
It was a memorable Saturday for the juniors team who placed 4th in the NCAA Chess Tournament 2008 as they took the 1st, 3rd and 4th spots of the final standings, thus assuring them to become the team champions.

A historic feat for the juniors chess team as this is the first time they've conquered the LAPRISAA Chess Tourney which has run some 20 years now. Whew!
LAPRISAA Chess used a 6 round Swiss System with 20/G time control. Next assignment for the champions is their dual match with the LAPSAA champions, Bloomfield Academy. The date is set on December 6, 2008,Saturday. Winner of the match will play against the public school champions.
