Hey there!
I was surprised to read rustic bull's post regarding Wesley in the recently concluded and won Barley Rapid Chess.
He won the tourney with a score of 8 out of 9 but what caught my attention was the reported game 6 he had. He lost his Queen becuase of a touch move rule. Really? Rapid, rapid rapîd. I wasn't surprised at all that he still drew the game.
C'mon guys, Wesley So is among the top juniors of the world. But the touch move rule? I blame it on time controls!
The Dapitan rendevous is just hours away and we well be seeing the Philippines' best outwit each other and I will not be surprised if GM Wesley so come out of this battle as the winner and in cruising speed and functioning.
Speaking of cruising speed, after almost 2 months of staying here in Morocco, I have become bored of cruising in a Mercedes Benz at 120 Km to Ifrane from Meknes and back (85 KM one way).
Filipino drivers back in the streets of Manila will have their tails hiding if they drive here.
Before I go, congratulations to GM Wesley So! Don't you ever get tired and bored of winning all these tourneys?
