Ski Not For Me

Waaaaaaaah!

I thought the day would be as exciting as I thought....

Nakakamatamay ang 2 hours drive from our hotel to the Atlas mountain...

Then pagdating dun, grabe pahirap sa katawan ng skiing...

Ok imagine this:

Obviously para sa isang Filipino, ang magsuot ng ski shoes ay bago, to the point na it is very limiting for my movement.... It's a bad thing for me kapag yung ankle joints ko hindi ko ma rotate every now and then...

Plus we had to walk wearing ski shoes from the rental shop towards the snow, the Atlas....

Hindi pa dito natatapos ha... prelude pa lang ito...

Then pag tapak ko sa snow...

Tumalembong, tumambling, nadapa, nagpaikot ikot, bumagsak ako suot suot ang ski slides ko. Hahahah! Kala mo Kiko masarap ha.

Syempre hindi naman nakakahiya dahil we can classify the people in the place into two, those who are good in skiing and those who are dumb. And yes, I fall under the second category.

Heto na...

A mountain's form is either uphil or downhill depending on which direction one is going...

Hahahah!

And yes, the classic showed it's face to me. Wanna know the classic I'm talking about?

For every sports or activity laging merong beginner na adult, beginner na bata at expert na bata. Yung panghuling category, sila yung tinatawag kong classic.

Here's what happened:

After lying on the ground for 5 minutes (yes, pagkatapos kong ma realize na its not an easy day for me) I stood and tried again, sabi nga ng monitor ko (sila yung assistant ng mga skiers) trabay, trabay. French yun ibig sabihin trabaho trabaho para matuto.

Sabi ko Safi Safi! Ibig sabihin finish.

May lumapit na bata, sirugo 7 years old lang yun, ang bilis ng dating nya galing sa taas... sabay hinto sa harap ko yung parang kotse na umi skid? ganun paghintong hinto tinitigan yung ginagawa ko then smiled, offered his name and said his name which I forgot....then laughed at me.

Oh di ba? Nadale na naman ako ng classic.

After probably 2 hours we called it quits. We went to this food gallery type place yun nga lang ang type eh mala open space tapos ang floor is soil and watery pa sya. Sarap siguro kumain?

Heheheh! Madaming tao, may mga table umbrellas...

We ate and off we went for another 2 hour drive back to our hotel. We left 3 PM and arrived 5.

On our way to the hotel, we passed-by a road accident about 2 blocks away from our joint. Ayun, pag park ng Toyota Prado takbo dalawang mababait at naki usyoso.

Syempre kasama ako...

Bilib ako at dalawa ang dumating na ambulance...

May 2 police cars na dumating aside from the first police car on the scene. Galing di ba?

Hayun ang sinapit ng araw ko...

Pero di pa tapos, dinto kami ngayon sa pool area ng hotel. Swimming naman ang trip nila. Ako nandito, sipping my fresh orange juice, waitiing for my risoto and blogging about my day.

My pictures will be posted later tonight.

Skiing? Not for me.

tomorrow we're scheduled to do carting and quads.

Carting I bet you all know.

Quads, do you know?
