Hi there!
FIDE Master Hamed Nouri won against Kaiser Jenius Hakiki in the fourth round of the 2007 Dato Artur Tan Malaysian Open to keep his International Master title chase alive. With the win, he has 3.5 points of possible 4.
Other Filipinos making waves in the event are IM Barlo Nadera, IM's Oliver "dimax" Dimakiling, Ronald Bancod and Richard Bitoon, NM's Rolando Nolte and Emmanuel Senador. Woman International Master Sheerie Joy Lomibao now has 2 points after making a draw with tournament seed number 2 Utut Adianto of Indonesia.
Sadly, our GM candidate, Whiz Kid Wesley is not playing because of the chicken pox he has now, as reported by Mr. Manny Benitez in his The Weekender.
Till then!
